+ Why should I apply to Starter Coaching?
Starter Coaching’s goal is to be the primary source of young talent development. We believe in entrepreneurship as a way to help you grow on a personal and professional level. If you are young, dynamic, ambitious, and an entrepreneur in a broad sense (you like to do new things), then you are ready to apply. This unique experience will help you develop yourself as a leader by interacting with the Starter Angels and experts.
+ Why we developed Starter Coaching.
During our studies, we became frustrated because we were never encouraged to look for entrepreneurial experience and so we created SC to help others avoid experiencing similar frustrations. Our personal motivation and benefit, is to be a part of developing and nurturing young and dynamic, entrepreneurial-talented communities.
+ Do I have to pay to participate?
Yes, but only for logistics. Participating to Starter Coaching, it’s entering a network of many skilled people that will help you jump start your company. Starter Coaching is a non profit. We do it because we believe in the cause. However, we do have logistical expenses and that’s why we ask participants to pay. The price is 400 EUR for working people and 200 EUR for students. Compared to the number of people you will meet and the progress of your company, it’s nothing.
+ What is the selection process?
You simply apply through our website by completing a form with personal information, and, answering questions regarding your motivation, your past success, and future dreams. There are no wrong answers to the questions.
If your application meets our qualification standards, the next step is a face-to-face or telephone interview, which provides an opportunity for us to get to know you and determine if your goal is aligned with what we can offer. After the interview, you will be notified within a week regarding your acceptance to the program. Every applicant will receive a phone call with an answer of yes or no, along with detailed feedback. Starter Coaching has a very thorough and challenging application process. We ask that you do not take it personally if you are not accepted into the program.
+ When does Starter Coaching run?
Starter Coaching is a six-month program that runs several times per year.
Currently there are two sessions scheduled for 2012.
+ Do I need to have a business project or plan to start with?
Starter Coaching is aimed at helping individuals and young talents who want to develop themselves. We believe in entrepreneurship and that is why we look for people with a project already in mind. However, the focus stays and remains on people. That’s why we look for great people first and then eventually focus on great ideas. Lacking a good idea should never be the reason why you do not apply to Starter Coaching. Many participants in the past have applied with an idea and pitched a different one at the end of the program.
+ Can I apply with my co-founder?
Of course you can! However, you need to know that Starter Coaching is focused on individuals and their talents that are aligned with Starter Coaching’s core values. We may select several co-founders for the program or we may only pick one. As we develop a project, the co-founders will always be invited to events we organize but the personal coaching will be focused on an individual level. Keep in Mind that having co-founders is a great plus in terms of credibility of the project. To excite us about your project, you should proove that you are able to excite other people too!
